We are unique in the world and now also organic!
Our spruce needle chocolate really is a world first! Other chocolatiers process alcoholic extracts of various coniferous tree tops and cones, but we have managed to dry the freshly harvested spruce needles from the Kräuteralm and grind them to make a very special filling with nougat.
Now we have certified the golden woodpecker as organic - and brought great joy to us all

Hand-scooped

Katrin Wöss, a trained chocolatier and passionate "chocolate creator", produces our precious organic forest chocolate from fine cocoa bean nibs using a careful hand-scooping technique. She could also help out as a forest fairy at any time, but for the time being she only visits the shiny golden black woodpecker on a few days a year when she collects the processed spruce needles from the herb alp.

Our forest chocolate is available as a 60g bar in a high-quality box, gold hearts in 2 different sizes and 2 different praline units - 1 x 3 and 1 x 5 pieces.
We are working on a limited edition. And of course you can also order the wonderful deer boxes with wood wool as Mixed Seduction or Dark Passion.
