The slopes on the Sternstein are suitable for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. There are three slopes ranging from medium to easy.

While the beginners are still trying out their first turns in the children's area with magic carpet, some snowplough world champions are already whizzing down the Pfarrerberg. LIFTING is child-friendly in Liebenau - thanks to the platter lift - and children can use it independently after just a few practice runs.

Things to know about your skiing holiday in the Mühlviertel holiday region
The Hochficht ski area in Klaffer am Hochficht is home to the Forsthaus Apartments and the Holzschlag event house, both just 500 metres from the slopes. You can find more accommodation here. The villages of Klaffer am Hochficht, Schwarzenberg am Böhmerwald and Ulrichsberg are in the immediate vicinity of the Hochficht ski area.
Yes, ski passes for the Hochficht and Sternstein ski resorts can be conveniently purchased online.
Yes, there are ski areas with tobogganing facilities in the Mühlviertel. In the Hochficht ski area, to the right of the Hochficht cable car, there is a toboggan run about 350 m long toboggan run. This is open during the ski area's operating hours if there is sufficient snow. The Viehberg lifts in Sandl also offer a toboggan run run. This is located right next to the children's lift and is ideal for families with small children. You can find more toboggan runs in the Mühlviertel here.
Ski touring is permitted in the Sternstein ski area! Also ideal for tour beginners. Attention: Ski touring is prohibited in the Hochficht ski area!
