The "Bridge of Encounter" was built at the point where the 3 cadastral communities "Oberneukirchen - Waxenberg - Traberg" meet. These 3 cadastral communities are part of the market town of Oberneukirchen.

This star-shaped bridge over the Waldschlägerbachl stream was erected here as a unifying symbol. This natural monument is intended to reflect the unity of the municipality, but also refers to the individual villages.
The bridge was inaugurated on 13 October 2002 with the active participation of the local population.
The Bridge of Encounter was built by the Stehrer joinery according to plans by Friedrich Wimmer.
