SUSTAINABILITY WITH HEART: HOW HERMANN AND GERTRUDE HOLZWEBER LIVE A CIRCULAR ECONOMY WITH THE MASCHERBAUER ORGANIC FARM
Vacation in Merano is only possible in Italy? Not if you visit the Mascherbauer organic farm in the Danube region! Here in Schwertberg, centuries-old tradition meets modern sustainability. Hermann and Gertrude Holzweber took over the farm, which looks back on 500 years of history, 20 years ago. Since then, they have turned it into a place where respect for nature, care for animals and a deep understanding of the natural cycle are tangible. The Mascherbauer organic farm is no ordinary farm - it is a living philosophy that shows how closely people, animals and the region can be connected.Organic farming is the most sustainable and environmentally friendly form of farming. Our holistic approach, diverse structure and respect for natural resources are the prerequisites for successful organic production.
Consumer confidence in organic products is a particular concern of ours. All organic producers, from farmers to restaurants, are inspected at least once a year by an independent, state-authorized body.
The green EU organic logo with the white stars must be visible on all packaged organic products in Austria and throughout the EU.
The organic control number and the indication of the country of origin can also be found in the same field of vision. If Austrian agriculture is indicated as the country of origin, 98% of all ingredients must come from Austria.
