Old Smithy

The forge, built in 1526, provides an insight into the working world of a blacksmith and wagon maker. Harrow teeth, door hinges, window grilles, plough irons and axes were made here and wheels were shod.
The smithy was in operation until 1953 and is originally preserved and furnished. The building is one of the town´s special attractions and provides visitors with insights into the working world of a smith.
Self-guided audio tours are available.
The Museum is open daily.
Open year-round:
Mondays to Fridays 09:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm to 6:00pm
Saturdays 09:00am to 12:00pm and by appointment
