The border, culture and nature are the main features that characterise Schwarzenberg.

The small village of Schwarzenberg lies at the foot of the Plöckenstein with magnificent winter hiking trails in the border triangle. The name is presumably derived from the dark ridge of the Steingupf, popularly known as "Teufelsschüssel".

Schwarzenberg is just 2 km from the ski lift at Alpine skiing area Hochficht!

If you don't feel like skiing, you can go curling or join a guided snowshoe tour. It's definitely a suitable offer there!
