In the lovingly restored linseed oil press in Schwarzenberg, you can see several times a year how the precious oil was extracted in earlier times.
Since the restoration of the Schwarzenbergermühle oil press, it has been used for its intended purpose of pressing linseed oil several times a year. This extracted linseed oil is used to prepare traditional dishes, especially the so-called "Leinölerdäpfeln", which are still considered a Mühlviertel speciality today. Specialities made from linseed oil are also on the menu at the Adalbert Stifter Hof.Contact/registration: Municipality of Schwarzenberg 07280 2550 or gemeinde@schwarzenberg.ooe.gv.at.
