The Danube cycle path in Austria leads you directly through our municipality!

The approximately 365-kilometre Danube Cycle Path meanders parallel to the silvery-blue ribbon of the mighty river. Enchanting little towns, breathtaking views and a wealth of impressions make the cycle route between the Bavarian three-river city of Passau and the Slovakian capital Bratislava one of the most popular routes in Europe.

Our municipality of Neustift i.M. is located directly on the state border with neighbouring Bavaria. The north and south banks of the Danube Cycle Path are connected here in Neustift i.M. by a cycle ferry (Engelhartszell / Kramesau in Neustift).

You will find guesthouses and private accommodation directly on the Danube cycle path in our municipality!
