Concert in cooperation with the OÖ Volksliedwerk
Concert in cooperation with the OÖ VolksliedwerkThe Haslach church tower is an imposing structure. The free-standing building was once part of the fortifications and was only later converted into a church tower. Behind its massive walls are eight floors of atmospheric rooms with a special atmosphere that tell of retreat and defense, but also spread peace and contemplation. An outdoor gallery can be accessed from the top floor, from where there is an impressive panoramic view of Haslach and the surrounding area.
In cooperation with the Upper Austrian Folk Song Society, a special concert will be organized in this unique location on 29 August 2026 and the former fortified tower will be transformed into a sound tower: Divided between the different levels, small folk music groups and soloists will play quiet, peaceful melodies simultaneously in the church tower. As the walls are so solid, the sounds do not mix, but the audience can wander back and forth between the levels and listen to the different ensembles. The outdoor gallery is also used. This results in individually different sound experiences, which are exchanged and rounded off at the concluding social gathering in the church square.
