Final presentation of the Artist-in-Residence Program 2026

Public presentation in which the artists give all interested parties an insight into their work, provide information about their work and their approaches and encourage discussion.

Thanks to the international summer symposium Textile Culture Haslach, which has been taking place for over 30 years, and the European Textile Network ETN, the Textile Center Haslach has a large number of contacts with textile artists in several countries who would like to use the infrastructure in Haslach and the inspiring surroundings of the entire region for individual study visits. Since 2022, the Textile Center Haslach, in cooperation with the European Textile Network ETN, has therefore been offering three places annually for different workshops or artistic fields.
In 2026, the artist-in-residence period will take place from August 5 to 14. Three artists will be selected from the applications, which can be submitted until the end of March, for the following areas Dobby weaving, tufting and jacquard weaving. During their stay, the young artists will receive support and technical assistance from the staff at the Textile Center Haslach, but are completely free in their artistic work. In addition to exchanging ideas with each other, the aim is also to get involved with the location and the local conditions, to enter into an exchange with people in the region and to make their view from outside visible in the workshops of the Textile Center Haslach or in public space.
A public presentation will take place on Friday, August 15 at 7 p.m., at which the artists will give anyone interested an insight into their work, provide information about their work and their approaches and encourage discussion.
