The Pienkenhof farm in Wittinghof 3, 4292 Kefermarkt is completely secluded on a mountain ridge and is surrounded by forest. Directly north-west of the farm is a meadow of just under one hectare, part of which, around 3000 m2, has been transformed into a natural garden by Heinz Reiter, the tenant of the farm.

This newly designed natural garden contains many medicinal plants that were mainly used in the Mühlviertel in past centuries. Many of them can also be found as prescriptions in today's pharmacies.
There are also many poisonous plants that are mainly used in homeopathy and some of which are very rare here (henbane, belladonna, daphne, bittersweet nightshade, hazel root...).
Around 200 medicinal and poisonous plants are labelled and equipped with a QR code so that you can request more detailed information.
In addition, the trained alternative practitioner and herbal expert Heinz Reiter organises garden tours and nature tours for groups on request.

Opening hours

The "Pienkenhof Nature Garden" is open to the public from around the end of March to October (admission € 2.50).

Please do not enter Wittinghof 3 in the route planner or Google Maps, but Wittinghof 7 - opposite Wittinghof 7 a 400m long gravel path leads up to the Pienkenhof.
