Located in the Mühlviertel municipality of Sandl, SV Sandl represents the town as a member of the Upper Austrian Football Association (OFV) and the Austrian General Sports Association (ASVÖ) in the sport of football.

With around 270 members, SV Sandl is one of the smaller football clubs in the area. Nevertheless, the football team attracts countless fans to the local Viehbergarena at every home game.
