Windpark Sternwald
In Sternwald, the largest wind farm in Upper Austria with 9 wind turbines has been generating environmentally friendly electricity since 2003.
Thanks to the optimal location, the annual yield of the eco-project corresponds to the annual electricity requirements of 7,800 households (31.2 million KWh). The wind farm is not only characteristic of Vorderweißenbach as a climate alliance community, but has also developed into an extremely popular excursion destination within a short space of time.
