The Pregartenteich is located almost in the centre of the town of Freistadt and its water surface area is approx. 7800m². It is characterised by the variety of fish species found in it. There are carp, crucian carp, roach and bream as well as perch, pike, zander and also catfish of considerable size.

In winter, when temperatures are low enough, it is ideal for ice skating and curling.

Coming from Linz, take the A7 and S10 motorways towards Freistadt until the Freistadt Süd exit. Continue on Pragerstraße. At Stieranger turn left at the exhibition hall, cross Bahnhofstraße at the AMS and then turn right.
