The parish church was built from 1787 - 1800 in late Baroque style and is dedicated to St. Joseph. The altarpiece (1746) depicts the death of St. Joseph, the carpenter, and is by Bartolomeo Altomonte.
The fact that the people of Kollerschläger are a "rough" lot is shown by the procurement of this altar alone. When the high altar was still missing and the canons refused to hand over the "Josefialtar" to the people of Kollerschläger, the "Kollerschlager Landsturm" was summoned without further ado, the altar was broken down and transported away with seven oxen. The Schlägl coat of arms above the altarpiece still points to the original location of the altar.
Usually open, otherwise ask at the parish office.
