Hop Museum in St. Ulrich im Mühlviertel.
Austria's first and only hop museumThe ideal excursion destination - surrounded by the fascinating beauty of the Mühlviertel. The adventure world in the Mühlviertel has a variety of attractions for young and old, for groups and families on the subject of hops.
Visit us in one of the oldest hop-growing regions in Austria and join us on a unique culinary and cultural hop journey. The HopfenErlebnisHof is a hop-growing farm with a HopfenErlebnisMuseum. This includes the Hopfenstub'n, which invites you to a cozy stop. There is also a beautiful garden and a playground for our younger guests.
The first and only hop museum in Austria is located in the middle of the Mühlviertel hop fields.
The Allerstorfer family has been growing around 28,000 hop plants on the 6.8 hectares since 1958. In 2005, the family opened the hop museum in St. Ulrich im Mühlkreis. Surrounded by hop plants up to seven meters high. The impressive green landscape alone is worth a visit.
In our hop museum at the HopfenErlebnisHof in the Mühlviertel, you can gain an insight into the history and culture of hops. From the farm work involved in extracting the green gold - the hops - to the processing. Our host Helmut Allerstorfer and senior manager Alfred Allerstorfer will guide you through the museum rooms, which he designed himself. He is happy to share his knowledge about working with the Mühlviertel hops.
The hop tour starts with a short walk through the Mühlviertel hop fields. This is followed by a visit to Austria's first hop museum, which is directly integrated into the production process. During the museum tour, our visitors will learn everything they need to know about hops and the popular beer, before ending the day in the Hopfenstub'n.
What could be better than reviewing the day's experiences over a glass of beer and a tasty snack?
Experience an exciting day at the HopfenErlebnisHof and immerse yourself in the world of beer!
