Reiterhof Kastenhofer

The Kastenhofer riding centre is located to the south of the MV-Alm, in the beautiful village of Pabneukirchen.
We offer everything from countless riding opportunities and romantic carriage rides to in-depth training for riders and horses.

Horses have been kept on our farm for generations. In the past as a necessity for daily work, today for competition sport or as a cosy leisure activity in the countryside. Our equestrian centre offers species-appropriate horsekeeping for small and large horses in spacious paddock or indoor boxes with daily paddock access. The training of rider and horse is based on the principles of the English riding method, which is applied even to our youngest riding students.

Location of the riding centre
Nestled in the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel, directly on the riding trail network of the Mühlviertler Alm.

Facilities at the riding centre
Stabling areas with paddock boxes or indoor boxes, tack room with WC, covered washing and grooming area, fenced riding arena 60x30 m, driving arena 80x40 m, covered horse walker, covered lunging circle, paddocks, riding parlour, guest garden.

Catering at the riding stables
Our cosy riding parlour invites you to a so-called "debriefing of the riding lesson". As a travelling rider you can use our farm as a resting place. Catering for rider and horse is provided.

Special features of the riding centre
Professional work on and with the horse has become our speciality. The boss (himself a state-certified riding instructor and master of equestrian management) conducts the training with you personally, from the first contact with the horse to rider's pass/pin preparation, training for licence examinations (jumping, dressage) through to competition sport.
