The craft beer brewery in the Mühlviertel

Boutique is all well and good. But the brewing boutique next to the Hotel AVIVA is also a brewhouse, fermentation cellar and storage facility. Brewer and beer sommelier Manfred Mayrhofer brews his own brand AVIVA light blonde and dark blonde every week in the AVIVA brewing boutique in the Mühlviertel (Upper Austria). The full-bodied AVIVA Brau-Boutique beer is brewed with love in the 2.5 Hl plant according to the brewery's own recipe. This means the highest quality ingredients such as Austrian malting barley, Mühlviertel spring water and the highest quality aromatic hops from the region are mashed, boiled, purified and fermented. Hops are the magic plant, the symbol and the glüxx.bringer of all craft beer breweries par excellence. It is hopped, added once, twice, hopped again and stored. Its fantastic aroma spectrum also gives the AVIVA Brau-Boutique beer its very individual note.

The first two AVIVA beers have been joined by two more specialty beers: AVIVA wheat beer and viva l'aviva - a fruity, summery pale ale. In addition to the four AVIVA Brau-Boutique beers available all year round, we brew our ALM BOCK every year, just in time for the Christmas season.

Every day, the AVIVA team makes sure that guests get the right beer to go with their meal. In this way, they make it tasty for guests to try new things, experiment and get to know the variety and quality of the craft beer scene. Those who want to learn more can do just that while on vacation: Beer receptions, guided tours and tastings, as well as numerous training courses such as Beerkeeper ensure a colorful and beery program. Private dining and "live beer brewing" with the master brewer every Wednesday turn the Brau-Boutique into a beer temple.

At the AVIVA ALM there's always something for the ‘snack hunger’: bacon snack, smoked meats and various spreads. Traditional, warm dishes are prepared on request for groups of over 30 people.

The street, Höhenweg 1, is not known to some navigation devices, so enter the center of Sankt Stefan am Walde. From here, the Hotel AVIVA is signposted two kilometers away.

When entering the shorter route, many navigation devices suggest a direct route, usually via winding side and country roads. We would like to give you the following tips for your journey:

If you are coming from Linz, we recommend taking the B126 main road to Bad Leonfelden and continuing towards Rohrbach. Shortly after Vorderweißenbach, follow the signs for Hotel AVIVA and St. Stefan.

If you are traveling from Germany, we recommend taking the A3 motorway to the Passau Nord exit and the Wegscheid border crossing, continuing in the direction of Rohrbach to the Hotel AVIVA. No highway vignette is required for this route.
