Mühlviertel linseed oil apples

A recipe from the Mühlviertler Ölmühle in Haslach an der Mühl.

Ingredients for 4 people:
 

  • 1.5 kg waxy potatoes
  • 1/4 l milk
  • 1/8 l whipping cream
  • Salt, linseed oil to taste

Preparation:

  • Boil the potato with the skin on, peel and cut into flakes.
  • Mix the potatoes in hot milk to form a thick mash, add cream, season with salt (pepper if necessary) and finally mix in the valuable linseed oil.
  • The Mühlviertel linseed oil potatoes are served with a dash of linseed oil.

 

This is an excellent main course with bread or salad or as a side dish.
