Numerous hiking trails start from here, such as the Planet Trail to Sandl, or pass by, such as the Nordwaldkammweg, which splits here into a variant via the Alm (Ia) and the main trail via Zelletau - St. Oswald.

The Wanderstein (GPS data N48 30.790 E14 30.176) on the north-western side of the promenade is the starting and finishing point for numerous hikes, and you can also test the accuracy of your smartphone's GPS reception at the surveying office checkpoint.
