Gießenbachmühle
The Gießenbach flows through the lower Mühlviertel from north to south and flows into the Danube on the border between Grein and St. Nikola/Danube at the level of the Donauinsel Wörth.
Eighteen mills were once in operation on the Gießenbach and its tributaries. The Gießenbachmühle mill at the entrance to the gorge is now used as an event venue and only the rattling of the mill wheel is a reminder of its former use.
