From its pinnacle, the proudly towering lookout point offers an impressive distant view far out into the Machland plain, to the Danube valley, to the Alpine chain from the Schneeberg to the Ennstal mountains, the Prielgruppe, the Traunstein and Dachstein, all the way to the Salzburg Alps. The view extends all the way up to the Mühlviertel mountains with their high-altitude churches and villages, the scattered and lonely farms and the Bohemian border.
At the foot of the Warte, large forests cover our region all around, the sight of which gives visitors a sense of contemplation and relaxation.

Opening hours

The viewing platform has been equipped with a modern automatic locking system. This means that visitors can visit the viewing platform without a key between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and enjoy the magnificent view.

Arrival

Accessibility / arrival

From the centre of St. Leonhard, the Susi-Wallner viewing platform can be reached on foot along a 1.2 km circular trail. The starting point is at the St. Leonhard market town office.
The key for the lookout point is available at the inns in the town centre.
