In the heart of the Mühlviertel region north of the Danube, on a southern slope above the market town of St. Oswald near Freistadt, nestled among forests, meadows, and fields, lies the youth hostel "RANNAHOF" of the Naturfreunde Upper Austria. Originally a Mühlviertler three-sided farmhouse, it now functions as a youth and hiking hostel with two separate dormitories for 34 persons and 5 double rooms and 1 single room for 11 persons in the northern wing, and in the western wing with a small living unit including a kitchen, shower, WC, 2 double rooms, and a pull-out couch.
Guests can either self-cater (two fully equipped kitchens with two dining rooms) or prefer to explore the excellent kitchens of local and surrounding restaurants.

Guests are responsible for their own meals. There is also the option to have lunch or dinner delivered by a catering service (upon request). Exploring the excellent kitchens of local and surrounding dining establishments can also be a culinary delight. Self-catering / catering and bread roll service available upon request year-round.
Many hiking opportunities, playground with new equipment, and football field in front of the house.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES:
1 grill area, 1 covered seating area with benches and tables, large courtyard, large terrace with tables, chairs, and sunshades, next to our large playground with fire pit; football/sport field, parking lot.. Behind the courtyard lies a small forest (experience the forest, mushroom picking,..)
