Observation tower closed until April 2024!
Fantastic view
The observation tower Moldaublick on the small hill on the Sulzberg (1041 m) offers a beautiful view of the Vltava reservoir (Czech Republic) - one of the largest reservoirs in Europe - and the birthplace of Adalbert Stifter in Oberplan. The majority of the Czech territory visible from here was populated by the German-speaking population until the end of the Second World War. Afterwards, the Sudeten Germans were resettled from their homeland. The small hill on the Sulzberg offers the expellees a beautiful view of their former homeland. As the trees grew taller and taller and visibility became poorer and poorer, the market town of Ulrichsberg decided to erect a viewing tower. The tower, an old oil derrick from Gänserndorf, has a height of 24 m and 137 steps and was erected in 1967.You can also visit us on
