Test your senses in this extraordinary Museum of Perception and discover a world between illusion and reality.
Put your senses to the test! In this extraordinary museum of perception you will discover a world between illusion and reality.
Exhibits developed by artists open up new approaches to human sensory phenomena. Many of these objects are deceptions of perception. In the "walk-in kaleidoscope" you can experience a light installation with endless reflections. In "Barragan's house", the visitor seems to become a dwarf. Strange balance experiences make you in the "drunken dice". Fixed pictures seem to turn, a rotating disc seems to stand still. From the ears of the "Mister Ohrlovsky" comes unexpectedly the own heartbeat. Electronic music forms into sound pictures. The plastic impression of one's own body thrills the visitors. In the "feeler" you can relax without external sensory impressions. The action-oriented objects inspire young and old. The villa sensually invites you as an active museum to attack and try out. Make a family-friendly, educational and barrier-free journey of discovery into the fascinating "realm of the senses".
In the adjoining park with children's playground, a 6 km circular route through the beautiful landscape of the Mühlviertel begins with 29 stations on the topic "perception with all the senses". Part of it is in the park of the villa e.g. the stepping stone symbol of the Venus flower, a balancing disc, dendrophones and much more.
