At the station you are greeted by the first locomotive, the "AIGEN", to travel this route. The Mühlkreisbahn has been running on the line from Linz to Aigen since 17.10.1888.
The Mühlkreis Railway Museum was established in the Rohrbach-Berg station building in 1998. The eye-catcher and centrepiece is the 120-year-old steam locomotive "Aigen". The train control room and the waiting room have been restored to their original state. Interesting showpieces about the construction and history of the 58-kilometre-long railway line as well as track superstructure work can be seen here. The magazine houses unique equipment of the safety service such as signal boxes, light signals and mechanical signals from 1914 onwards. Fun for the children is a ride in the yellow luggage wagon, which used to be used to transport luggage in the station area, interesting also the track bicycle and the trolley.Opening hours: By telephone arrangement with Mr Heinz Berger, Stadtamt Rohrbach-Berg, on 07289 6255 145 or by e-mail: berger@rohrbach-berg.ooe.gv.at.
