Klammleiten Hiking Trail

Stations: Einsiedlmauer (forest devotion), Teufelsmühle (Kindlstein), Coburgbründl, Gefluderkopf, Himmelsleiter, Kanzelstein, Herberge, Diesmühle.

To the north of Königswiesen, the romantic hiking trail in the Klammleitental valley is an adventure hike for nature lovers. The trail is 5.5 kilometres long. However, it is also possible to shorten this hike. The interesting stops along the way are Einsiedlmauer (forest devotion), Teufelsmühle (Kindlstein), Coburgbründl, Gefluderkopf, Himmelsleiter, Kanzelstein, Herberge, Reindlmühle and Diesmühle. The 80-year-old Reindlmühle mill has been renovated and a mill wheel turns as it did in times gone by. A wooden flume has also been created. This "Gefluder" is intended to demonstrate the time-consuming transport of timber in days gone by. There is also a legend about the "Devil's Mill". The hiking map of the Klammleiten gorge and various other information materials are available from the municipality of Königswiesen. The documents are also available for free in all Königswiesen inns. The Gusenleitner excursion inn (innkeeper in Haid) is very conveniently located as a rest stop (or final stop).
