Golf Lessons at Golfpark Böhmerwald

Courses for Course Eligibility, Handicap, and Specialized Topics

Here in the Bohemian Forest, together with our two instructors (“PROs”), Renate and Ronny FERIZI, we strive to make getting started in golf as simple and hassle-free as possible. The first step in your “golf career” in the Bohemian Forest is obtaining a GOLF LICENSE. We organize various training programs without time pressure, without the stress of exams, and with a flexible schedule.
There are basically three ways to get started with golf:

1. BRONZE
“Bohemian Forest Compact Course”

This course is for anyone who is short on time and wants to get out on the golf course as quickly as possible. The course lasts just 3 hours and can be booked at any time:

• Training: 3 hours in a single day or evening
• €180 per person
• Goal: Basic knowledge of golf
• Includes: 1-month playing privileges on the 1- to 9-hole courses at Golfpark Böhmerwald (without membership in GC Böhmerwald)

2. SILVER
"Böhmerwald License Course"

If you have more time than the very condensed training described under BRONZE and would like to learn the game of golf intensively from the start, you can book our standard course:

• Training: 6 hours over 2 days
• €380 per person
• Goal: CLUB LICENSE (CL) – without a handicap
• Enables: Playing privileges at Golfpark Böhmerwald (with membership in GC Böhmerwald or temporary playing privileges)

If you have already successfully completed the BRONZE course, the 3 training hours (valued at €180) will be credited toward the SILVER course.

If you’d like to complete the entire training program right from the start, we recommend the following course:

3. GOLD-
, “ÖGV Tournament License”

• Training: 15 hours over 3, 4, or 5 days*
• €780 per person
• 2 rounds of 9-hole play for practice before the exam round
• "Handicap-relevant score" (HRE) with a minimum of 12 Stableford points
• Rules, safety, and etiquette test (31 questions total: 20 must be answered correctly; exam can be taken online or in person at the club)
• Goal: TOURNAMENT LICENSE (TL) with a handicap of 54 or better
• Enables: Eligibility to play on all golf courses worldwide and to participate in all tournaments globally, provided the respective club does not require a lower handicap. Membership in the GC Böhmerwald is required!

If you have already successfully completed Level 1 (SILVER), these training hours—valued at €200—will be credited toward the GOLD course.

This season, we will offer fixed start dates for the course proficiency course for everyone who takes advantage of our OFFER and would like to start playing golf! This means the start date for each course is set—subsequent dates will then be arranged individually with our instructors!
