Textile centre in Haslach, opened in Juni 2012.
For 180 years Vonwiller weaved. The textile heritage of the site was preserved and revived after the closure of this factory. The best proof of this is the new Haslach textile center. The concept of a textile city builds on four pillars: the history and culture of the textile industry, production and education. We can get a lot of competent partners to work together. The traditional weaving museum was founded in Haslach 40 years ago. The textile industry is presented in various cities in the city, we also have an archive with amazing historical books. A special piece in our collection is the 1825 wardrobe - it is located in the outdoors of the facility, surrounded by a colorful garden in which typical plants that give color to the colorful plants grow. Also, Textile Kultur Haslach has been in existence for more than 20 years. Voluntary collaborators organize each year a market of almost 100 people who exhibit here and thousands of visitors and hold various courses for both beginners and industry experts. The Haslach Textile Center is on its way, becoming the center for textile industry experts. We focus on education and research. Courses organized in collaboration with the Linz University of Arts are called Shuttle. What you learn in theory will, of course, be tested in practice. Manufactory right in the house shows a chain of wool production.
