The Schaumberger family gives you the opportunity to find out more about their own brandies and liqueurs. It is our endeavour to produce high quality, to be able to offer you reasonably priced products and, above all, to look after you as a satisfied customer. At 750 metres above sea level, in the middle of the beautiful Mühlviertel, our farm has been family-owned for 210 years. In addition to dairy farming and fattening oxen, schnapps has always been distilled. In 2005, schnapps and liqueurs were produced for the first time. The brandies are distilled exclusively with rye grain, oats and fruit that we sow and harvest in our fields. Grain or fruit schnapps is used as the base product for liqueurs, which are also flavoured with selected berries, fruit, chocolate and eggs from our chickens, as well as herbs.
The herbs are sourced from the organic farm "Mühlviertler Bergkräuter". The distillation is done with a Kothe-Exklusiv 150 litre column still.
The liqueurs and brandies are then stored for several months in glass balloons or wooden barrels. Bottles are always stored upright. The drinking temperature for clear spirits is between 15°C and 18°C and for barrel-aged spirits between 16°C and 20°C. We produce brandies and liqueurs of the highest quality!

Exactly 1179 brandies were put to the test this year at the - Ab Hof Messe in Wieselburg. We received the highest award for our Bräuer's Steinofenbrot Brandy:
"The Golden Stamperl 2012"
The excellent quality and aromatic flavour of master baker Bräuer's stone-oven bread from Reichenthal made this unique brandy possible.
