Largest organic herbal garden in Austria.

The herbal paradise in the Bohemian Forest! Since 1980, right next to the parish church, there is this beautiful plant with about 1800 different medicinal plants, on an area of 7,800 m2. It is especially worth seeing for people interested in medicinal plants, hobby gardeners, flower lovers, for botanists and medicinal herb educators, children and school groups, photographers, as well as for those seeking peace and quiet, and especially for you! Highlights in the herb garden: -May to June: Fresh herbs, pre-summer bloomers - marigold, gentian, heather, alpine rue, anemone and more. -June to August: HIGH FLOWERING TIME -August to September: Blooming heaths -Permaculture-fruit/vegetable garden The 1st Upper Austrian Heilkräuter-Schau -und Lehrgarten in Klaffer am Hochficht (Dreiländereck Mühlviertel - Bavaria - Bohemia) was awarded the Environmental Protection Prize by the Province of Upper Austria in 1994 and also in 2005 and is an ideal garden for families with children. Here you will find a clear arrangement of the many medicinal plants as well as a detailed description of each medicinal herb. There is also a lot for children to discover. Of course, there is also a small playground, snack garden, a barefoot parkour, etc. -Every first Saturday of the month there is a guided tour of the medicinal herb garden at 14:00 without prior registration (8,00€). -Every first Sunday of the month is invited to the herbal coffee at 10:00. -Every Friday of the month, amateur gardeners meet from 14:00 to 16:00 followed by a cozy get-together with drinks and herb cakes. Fair weather only. -Guided tours followed by a tasting of herbal specialties are available for groups by appointment (15,00€). The area of the garden with celebration place and shady resting place under the old lime tree is suitable also in the best way for small celebrations up to approx. 30 persons (birthdays, weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, firm celebrations and more).
