The climate here is actually quite mild for the northern Mühlviertel. Signs of this are the exotic plants growing in the Popp Garden, as well as the many fruit trees (especially walnut and plum trees), which nowhere else in the Mühlviertel grow as well as here. This charming rural area is an Eldorado for those seeking relaxation. Hiking, cycling, horse riding, swimming in the solar-heated outdoor pool with water slide, golfing and winter sports are Julbach's sporting trump cards. The neo-Romanesque St. Anna Church with baroque furnishings (1860-70) and the Home Museum are well worth a visit. People with respiratory diseases can "breathe healthily" at Erlebnisimkerei Hüttner in Julbach. The healing propolis vapours from the beehives bring people relief from their ailments.
