The Mühlviertel: Incredibly liberating

This country is built of granite that has been sanded down over millions of years by wind, weather and water. The Mühlviertel between the Danube in the south and the Bohemian Forest (Böhmerwald) in the north is a country with a strong character. Its hills open a vista over unimagined open space. At the time it rises up to heights beyond 1000 metres. The rough land has left its mark on the people, their life, their traditions. And it makes the hills and dales into a challenging athletic playground.

Finding the way in the Mühlviertel

Beer is not just a drink, it connects people and regions

From growing hops to beer brewing- a long tradition

For more than 500 years beer has been brewed in the Mühlviertel, and with the best raw ingredients straight from the region. It is not for nothing that the Mühlviertel is seen as the largest hops cultivation region in Austria and is globally known as a beer heartland.

Holiday - a little bit like before!

Our house is located in Haslach, only 150 meters to the market square. In the house there are two double bedrooms with shower, the toilet is on the corridor.

To switch off on vacation, I invite you to sing old songs with me before you fall into oblivion. On request, I like to cook dishes with you, as we have always eaten before: potato pasta with cabbage and potatoes, potato soup, water louse with salad, smoked meat with Griesknödel, applesauce, bacon salad and potatoes and much more!

In the large garden, we invite you to a Grillabaend with Sterndlschaun!

A collection of old songs as a songbook with CD "Großmami's favorite songs" was recorded by me and can be purchased from me.
