In honor of the greates poet of the Bohemian Forest area 1876-1877 a memorial was built at the Plöckenstein lake. The 15 meters high obelisk is made out of granite and can only be reached on foot. Walking distance from the parking lot in Oberschwarzenberg is 2 hours....
On the altar there is a pietà from the 18. century. Right behind the hidden chapel there is the so called Augenbründl.
A round granite slab that was formerly used as a Stone. It indicates a geological situation, according to which the Rodl flows into the Danube and this in turn into the Black Sea, while the Granitzbach flows into the Vltava, Elbe and North Sea.
